Asset Management - Johnny G. Martinez Water Treatment Plant (JGMWTP) and South Water Treatment Plant (STWTP)
This project included maintenance and upgrades to the JGMWTP and STWTP. Wilson provided services throughout the preconstruction, construction, and post-construction phases. In preconstruction, Wilson reviewed the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), cost estimate, and gave recommendations to the City. During construction, upgrades encompassed aeration improvements, chlorine system modifications, intake channel adjustments, sludge collector replacement, and valve vault modifications. Wilson managed construction by holding monthly meetings to discuss progress, resolving issues, inspecting materials for conformity to specifications, and monitoring conditions. Wilson ensured that the City’s Building Safety Division received all permits and changes, completing final inspections for the Certificate of Occupancy. In post-construction, Wilson helped troubleshoot equipment, address warranty issues, and prepared operation manuals and record drawings for the City.
